MAX38888ATD+T is a high-efficiency reversible buck/boost regulator from Analog Devices (Maxim Integrated), belonging to the Continua™ family of backup power regulators. It is designed to efficiently transfer power between storage elements (supercapacitors or capacitor banks) and system supply rails, ideal for backup power applications.
Core Features: It operates with an input voltage range of 0.8V to 5.5V, delivering an adjustable output voltage of 2.5V to 5V and a peak output current of 2.5A (discharge) / 0.5A (charge). With a 2MHz switching frequency and up to 95% efficiency, it features ultra-low 2.5µA quiescent current in ready mode. The chip supports programmable voltage and current thresholds with ±2% accuracy, comes in a compact 14-pin TDFN (3mm×3mm) exposed pad package, and operates from -40°C to +125°C, complying with RoHS and MSL 1 (unlimited) standards. It efficiently transfers power between storage elements (supercapacitors/capacitor banks) and system supply rails in reversible buck/boost operations.
